I remember being under stress as a child. Most of it was academic in nature, but I got my share of teasing as well. Test anxiety, reading essays to my classmates and so on were some of the factors. When a negative event happened in the family, I could sense my parents’ stress and I felt it. That’s normal, and in some ways it helped spur me on to do things I probably would have avoided otherwise.
